Dean’s Council membership is extended to donors who make gifts totaling $2,500 a year or lifetime contributions over $50,000. This level of support helps the School meet new and unexpected challenges across our global society, while attracting greater recognition and visibility for our work.

"Now more than ever we need institutions that are dedicated not only to the study but also to the practice of peace and conflict resolution. The Carter School at George Mason University is at the forefront of producing individuals devoted to shaping a more peaceful and just world."

Members serve as goodwill ambassadors of the Carter School, sharing our mission and purpose with their personal network and inviting prospective members to join our community. Members form lasting connections with each other, ensuring the experience of giving to the Carter School is meaningful.

“The Dean’s Council functions like a mind-trust for the Carter School. In the challenging times of polarized politics, a pandemic, and the global crisis of human security and injustices, it is a privilege for me to benefit from the support of people passionate about peace and justice and ready to make a difference in both here in the U.S. and beyond.”
